It all started when…
Julia and Renee met in graduate school at UNC Charlotte. When the two worked closely together in internship they realized their therapeutic approaches and specialties complimented one another. After graduating and working at separate agencies and practices, the two quickly realized that the community needed more therapy practices that supported clinicians in a way that valued their autonomy and protected them from burnout.
In 2017, Davidson Family Therapy was created with an important mission- to assist the families in the Lake Norman community in a creative way, while empowering the clinicians to provide their most effective work.
If you are looking to join a private practice without feeling trapped in a contract, forced to work with populations you are not comfortable with, or taken advantage of financially, look no further. Davidson Family Therapy was created with the purpose of helping those in our community, which includes the helpers of our community as well. We believe that when therapists are valued and respected, they are able to provide quality care to others, creating a ripple effect of healing.
*Please note, there is no on-site supervision at this time, which means we cannot accept students in internship.
