Creative Connections
Middle School Girls (10-13 years)
This therapist-led group is designed to support pre-teen girls in building self-confidence, strengthening healthy social skills, and exploring their sense of self through creativity and meaningful peer connection.
Each session combines fun, hands-on creative activities with opportunities for reflection, discussion, and personal growth. Through guided projects and peer interactions, participants will practice communication, perspective-taking, emotional expression, and friendship-building skills in a supportive environment.
Creative Connections integrates expressive arts with evidence-based approaches, including, social-emotional learning (SEL), cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. Through these experiences, girls will build emotional awareness, strengthen self-regulation skills, and develop healthy ways to process & communicate emotions, navigate relationships, and foster resilience.
Each group session includes:
Creative expression & exploration of self-concept through hands-on activities that encourage self-discovery, emotional awareness, and self-expression
Mindfulness practices to promote self-regulation and emotional wellness
Emotional awareness activities that support healthy emotional processing and expression
Social skill development through connection, communication, and friendship building experiences

Painting
Bracelet Making
Vision Boarding
& Other expressive activities
Creative activities are a great way for pre-teens to explore their identity, manage emotions, and develop social skills, all while having fun and making something uniquely their own. This group aims to help girls prepare for middle school through creativity and connection while helping them discover who they are, together.

*$150 deposit required upon sign-up, remainder due at the start of the group
