Creative Counseling Mental Health Group

High School Girls

In this group, students will learn the core components of mental health and healthy coping skills to manage symptoms related to anxiety and depression.

Creative exploration and expression will offer students and experiential way to apply newly-learned skills and offer more opportunities for self-awareness and making choices that support their mental health.

  • Offers immediate resources for teens in their mental health journey.

  • Supports clients through the challenges of anxiety and depression.

  • Teens will develop a solid foundation of mental health strategies with lifelong benefits.

 

Each group session includes:

  • Education and therapeutic processing related to healthy and effective coping and decision-making skills to support their wellbeing and navigate stressors in their life.

  • Creative experiences to apply their newly learned coping techniques through creative modalities.

  • An opportunity for teens to connect with and support one another, reducing isolation and loneliness while developing social skills for future friendships.

Jewelry Making

Using a Planner
Aromatherapy

Benefits of using creative modalities in therapy:

  • Provides a safe, comfortable environment for teens to learn and implement mental health techniques.

  • Allows clients to immediately implement what they learn.

  • Art based learning has transformative positive outcomes in self-esteem, self-insight, self-efficacy, personal development, and empowerment.

  • Offers a healthy way for teens to explore and express their emotions, who they are, who they want to be, and how they can get there.

  • Exposes students to a wide variety of creative coping skills and potential creative hobbies which will aid them in stress management, anxiety reduction, and decreased depression.

$85 per session*
*$300 deposit required upon sign-up & payments of $47.50 made per session over the duration of the group.
