Life doesn't come with a roadmap, and growing up can feel overwhelming at times. Between school, friendships, family expectations, and the pressure to keep up, it's easy for worries and self-doubt to take hold. My goal is to provide a space where clients can step away from those pressures, make sense of what they're experiencing, and feel supported as they build confidence and resilience.
I am passionate about helping children (8+), preteens, and teens navigate anxiety, stress, and the emotional challenges that come with everyday life. I know that every person's experience is different, which is why I focus on creating a genuine connection built on trust, compassion, and acceptance. I believe therapy should be a place where clients feel seen and understood while having the freedom to explore who they are and what matters most to them.
My approach is grounded in a person-centered and systems-based perspective. I believe that each client is the expert on their own experiences, and I strive to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. At the same time, I recognize that individuals are influenced by the many systems around them, including family relationships, school environments, friendships, culture, and life experiences. Understanding these connections allows us to explore challenges from a broader perspective and identify meaningful opportunities for growth and change.
I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs by combining this understanding with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we work to identify goals, strengthen coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and develop strategies that support lasting change both within and beyond the therapy space.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A) in North Carolina with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My hope as a therapist is to create a space where clients feel supported and comfortable being their authentic selves. I am honored to be part of each client’s journey as they explore their experiences and move toward growth and healing. I also enjoy incorporating the healing and grounding qualities of nature into therapy when it aligns with each client’s needs and preferences.
