Adult and Individual Therapy
It’s okay to be scared. Being scared means you’re about to do something really, really brave.

What is Individual Therapy?

Individual counseling provides an opportunity for a person to have the space to process, explore and grow in a private and emotionally therapeutic setting. Individual therapy allows for the privacy to confront and challenge vulnerabilities to promote healthy change and growth.

How does Individual Therapy help?

With the guidance of a licensed mental health clinician, achievable goals are created and reached through the process of learning coping skills, changing maladaptive thought patterns, healthier self-image development, and more. Each therapist is trained to tailor therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual client and is designed in a way to work with the individual’s strengths, values, and personalities. The client-counselor relationship is important and cherished by each of our counselors. Each therapist has his/her own unique style of counseling. What does Individual Therapy look like?

Individual therapy is the most common type of therapy. It can be as simple as sitting on a sofa or going on a walk. Based on your counseling goals and situation, your therapist will tailor therapy to meet the specific needs you may have.

Why choose Individual therapy?

If a certain issue, challenge, or situation causes distress and negatively interferes with your daily life, it may be the right time to engage in individual therapy. Around 1 in 5 adults struggle with mental health issues, based on statistics from the National Institute of Mental Health. If you are experiencing a type of stress or problem that requires professional help, such as depression, then individual therapy is likely right for you.
