As a counselor, I am here to support you in your mental health journey. I specialize in issues that impact the emotional and mental health of adult women and teen girls. I help clients who feel overwhelmed, depressed, stressed, anxious, isolated, or low to develop and practice techniques that allow them to transform the way they think, feel, and show up in the world. When you feel tired, defeated, and held back by low self-esteem or past trauma, my goal is to help you heal so that you may pursue the healthy, connected, and fulfilling life you want for yourself. I also strive to help families heal, understand, and connect in meaningful ways.

Taking an evidenced-based and client-centered approach, I desire provide a safe and supportive space where we can collaborate to help you reach your goals. My main theoretical orientations of practice include Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Reality Therapy. I take an eclectic approach to counseling, pulling information and techniques from different theoretical orientations to best meet the unique needs of each particular client.
I hold a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate licensed from the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors (NCBLP).

I find power in using creative modalities in counseling sessions to help facilitate clients’ self-exploration, self-expression, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and overall mental wellbeing. For many clients, creative exploration serves as a safe way to explore their inner world, their experiences, and their hopes for the future. This may include journaling, reading, scrapbooking, gardening, and other forms of creative expression. I find these modalities to be particularly helpful for adolescents who may have a difficult time trusting, confiding in, and connecting with adults.
