I’m passionate about therapy as a tool for helping young people develop and grow. Adolescence and early adulthood can be a challenging period for people, especially in a post-pandemic world. I believe therapy can be a positive tool for teenagers and young adults when they are accepted as who they are when given the opportunity to be authentic, vulnerable, and genuine. By providing my clients with a safe space, filled with acceptance, warmth, and positivity, I believe therapy can help to increase self-esteem, identify unhealthy thoughts and patterns of behavior, learn tools for coping, and grow towards achieving a state of peace.

In therapy, I work from an integrative, person-centered approach. This means I believe the most powerful tool with clients is the relationship between the client and myself. I use empathy, positivity, and authenticity to form a relationship with clients where they feel safe, heard, and believe in their capacity for growth. In session, I use mindfulness exercises, grounding techniques, thoughts and values identification, and emotional regulation exercises.

I specialize in working with people 12- 19 years of age. I have experience working with clients on a range of concerns, such as communication, interpersonal relationship conflict, depression, anxiety, self-harm, substance exploration, trauma, and difficulty coping with life transitions. I am passionate about supporting people in their development of self-love and personal growth. I believe all people have worth and value and I feel honored to assist people in their ability to recognize their strengths, assets, and inner resources. I aim to create and maintain a safe, nonjudgmental, compassionate space for my clients to express themselves, identify their inner experiences, and learn skills to apply in their lives. I work from an integrative theoretical framework, with a person-centered, strength-based approach. I meet my clients where they are, hold space for them to be authentic, and work with them to identify their strengths and power.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of North Georgia in 2020 and I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2021 to pursue a graduate degree. I earned a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023 from The University of North Carolina- Charlotte. I have experience working in hospital and college settings. I have worked with clients of different cultures, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs, age, and socioeconomic status.
